Since Green Prosthetics & Orthotics was founded seven decades ago, some things have changed. Instead of carving prosthetic legs out of wood blocks, the latest materials and technology are combined to meet the challenges of rehabilitation today. Instead of a two-person operated company, there are twenty-five dedicated people in Pennsylvania and New York. Even as the family-owned company has grown, the same passion for quality that inspired its founder in 1932 is still the driving force behind every product built and every service provided today. At the heart of Green Prosthetics & Orthotics is a philosophy about patient care that goes deeper than just quality products and services. It's a philosophy that fosters an appreciation for an individual's needs, and a unique understanding of the subtle differences between good patient care and great patient care.

As evidence to our everlasting philosphy, in 1961, we were part of the first amputee clinic held in the state of Pennsylvania. Quite simply, Green Prosthetics & Orthotics has never been satisfied with leaving well enough alone. In fact, the company was born from dissatisfaction with the quality of prosthetic care that was available at the time. Since the earliest days, Green Prosthetics & Orthotics has been widely regarded as the O & P leader in the area and the innovations we have used are now as much a part of prosthetics and orthotics as the use of plastics and carbon fiber. Components now considered standards for optimum patient success have been our products for years.

So why does Green Prosthetics & Orthotics insist on raising the bar time and time again? Is it a sense of responsibility to the community? Or because it makes good business sense to stay ahead? Certainly those are valid reasons. Perhaps it's because at the head of the company is a family; a team that knows what it means to awake every morning and face the same challenges of mobility and independence. Maybe it's the second generation of that family that takes pride in tradition and strives for forward progress to provide the most advanced prosthetic and orthotic care possible.
