The region's most certified staff
Facility accreditation is only the beginning. Here at Green P & O we are also proud to have the region's most certified staff.

Staff certification is your guarantee that the practitioners at Green P & O operate at the highest level of educational and technical excellence in their field. Proof of this excellence can be seen by examining the educational and professional requirements of governing bodies such as the American Board for Certification (ABC), the Board for Certification in Pedorthics (BCP), and The Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC).

Beyond technical expertise, many members of the technical staff at Green P & O have additional qualifications that no accreditation can measure; the personal experience of living with a prosthesis or orthosis of their own. This extraordinary qualification is your assurance that the technical expertise you receive is also compassionate and understanding.

Since its creation in 1948, the American Board for Certification (ABC) encourages and promotes the highest standards of professionalism and practice in the delivery of orthotic and prosthetic services. ABC certified practitioners have met ABC's extensive education and training requirements and have developed a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and kinesiology. ABC certified practitioners have successfully completed three exhaustive examinations and further their knowledge through continuing education courses. Green P & O boasts more ABC certified practitioners than any other provider in the area. ABC certification is a testament to the high level of skill and dedication to "best practices " by the staff of Green Prosthetics & Orthotics.

They fabricate and fit foot orthoses according to BCP's specialized Code of Ethics that govern responsibilities to the patient, the physician, the public and the profession.

The Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC) is an independent, not-for-profit agency that certifies orthotists, prosthetists, orthotic and mastectomy fitters and accredits their facilities. BOC certification requires a college degree or a minimum of 3800 hours of direct experience in the provision of comprehensive orthotic, prosthetic and habilitative services, as well as successful completion of three examinations. Green Prosthetics and Orthotics is proud to have staff members whose excellence has been affirmed by this meticulous process.
