What to Expect
Your First Visit
Team Green is looking forward to meeting you. We will do everything we can to make your first visit as easy and beneficial as possible. We understand that becoming your provider of choice is an important decision that can have major implications on your accomplishments throughout a life time.
Prior to your first visit
When you call to schedule your first appointment our office staff will complete your Patient Registration over the phone, please have your insurance cards or information present when you call.
What to Expect on Your First Visit
Your first appointment could last up to one hour. Patient Care Coordinators will verify your insurance and gain an understanding of your healthcare coverage. During the initial visit our practitioner will evaluate your individual needs through an examination, a discussion with you about your goals and objectives, and a review of your physician’s requests. This will become the basis for a comprehensive treatment plan that will include a device recommendation and establish both short-term and long-term recovery goals.
When arriving for your first visit you should plan on coming in a little early to complete the
patient registration process.
You should also bring:
- Photo Identification (Drivers License, State ID Card, etc.,)
- Insurance Verification (Card, Employer Group or Member Numbers, etc.,)
- Prescription from your referring physician (if you have one).
- Your goals concerning treatment
- List of questions you might have – this is often very helpful.
The number of visits and length of time it will take will be unique to you. This is based on the severity and complexity of your orthotic and/or prosthetic needs. Once a device or treatment plan has been recommended and/or agreed upon our Patient Care Coordinators will be able to give you a better estimate of your insurance plan coverage as well as any deductibles or co-pays you may be responsible for.
We have outlined the phases an individual may encounter on their road to recovery. They are located in the Milestones – Physical Recovery section of our website. The information is helpful and could answer many of your questions before your initial visit.
